Bio- Meghan Casey

Born and raised in North Vancouver, my journey through Communication and Latin American Studies led me to a lifelong passion for regenerative conservation and social and educational innovation.

I’ve spent most of my adult life in the vibrant rainforests of Costa Rica, where over the past 17 years, alongside my Tico husband and children, we have created the Chilamate Rainforest Eco Retreat, and are active in local rainforest conservation.

  • Passionate about forest therapy and the benefits of nature connection practices

  • Costa Rica coordinator for the World Leadership School

  • Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Diploma in Social Innovation and Global Leadership

My personal Nature Connection practice fuels my soul and reminds me we are connected to something much greater than our individual selves and our seemingly insurmountable global problems. Whether it's listening to the rustle of leaves or feeling the earth beneath my feet, nature is where I find inspiration, peace, and the deepest sense of purpose and connection.

After over 20 years in the jungles of Costa Rica, I am excited and honoured to have the chance to explore and play again in the beautiful rainforests and awe inspiring coast of British Columbia, making a new home with aging family members, in central Vancouver Island.
