  • Our Custom Retreats can be designed for your personal or group needs. Please reach out for a chat to help us know how to serve you best.

Our Scheduled retreats and events are usually designed to be comfortable for anyone who can

    • Walk over uneven surfaces and trails, with some hilly sections, possibly rocks to scramble over.

    • Travel a distance of 1-2 km over a 3 hour period (yes we move slowly :) )

    • Sit on the ground from time to time

    • Are able to move independently, hear the Guide’s voice with instructions.

  • As much as possible we spend out time outside, so prepare for all weather. We recommend one more layer than you think you need.

Here’s some other items to consider:

    • Water bottle

    • Small notepad or journal for the full day or multi day evets. (not necessary for half day events.)

    • Pack light. Think about what you would want to carry for a slow meander……over several hours

    • Sitpad. We often find ourselves sitting on the ground, or sand. It can be nice to have something small/light to sit on, especially when the ground is damp. (We will have some extras if you don’t have one)

    • Any medication or items you need to be healthy and comfortable (sunscreen etc.)

    • Depending on your program, you may also be advised to bring your lunch (we discuss this at time of booking)

Your facilitator will have a first aid kit

  • That depends entirely on the service or event you book!

*Let us know how we can support your experience!

With a CUSTOM event, often you look after your own meals and accommodations, and we come to you.

With a SCHEDULED events, we sometimes offer full package for you.

And…..ask about our Concierge service :)

  • In a nature connection practice we are slowing down to the present moment, sometimes wandering, exploring with our senses, sometime sitting in contemplation, sometimes journaling etc, and given the natural flow of things, we can also find ourselves effortlessly in that state of still mind and body enjoying the present moment and feeling a state of connection to ourselves, and all the world around us.

For more detail….check out About Nature Connection page.

  • No worries! Unless a course specifically mentions meditation training, that is not included.

However it is a way to feel many of the benefits of practices like meditation. In meditation the invitation is to still our mind and body and connect to the divine.

In a nature connection practice we are slowing down to the present moment, sometimes wandering, exploring with our senses, sometime sitting in contemplation, sometimes journaling etc, and given the natural flow of things, we can also find ourselves effortlessly in that state of still mind and body enjoying the present moment and feeling a state of connection to ourselves, and all the world around us.

This practice does not require a spiritual perspective, however you are free to layer any language or context to your experience that feels right to you, and you may find the divine in your experience if you choose to.

  • Absolutely- Please book a CUSTOM event (scroll below) and we will design an adventure for you and your family.

And, there is particularly important work to be held with teens at this time when they are holding/experiencing ecological grief differently. We really enjoy supporting those conversations in the right setting.

Our SCHEDULED Retreats and events are designed for adults.*

This work is designed to help us deeply relax the central nervous system so our parasympathetic nervous system is invited into rest and repair.

Our standard events are designed to be slow and contemplative, often spending some time in silence and stillness, or in group discussion. That can be hard for young children.

When considering a CUSTOM event experience for you and your family, some thoughts:

    • Many children are pretty good at engaging their parasympathetic nervous system and engage freely in play and rest as needed. If that is the case with your lucky children, then you may be just as happy heading to the beach together with some unstructured play time and art projects.

    • If you have a child/children, who is/are experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety please let me know and we can design a custom experience for your family. We can plan a quick zoom or phone chat ahead of time so that we can best understand the length and design of the program to recommend for you. (minimum # of participants 4, max 8)

    • If you have teenagers who are concerned about climate change and ready to engage in nature connection work as a pathway to engaged and empowered citizenship, please let me know and we can design a custom experience for your family. Reach out for a discussion before booking.

  • We LOVE collaboration and partnership! Please reach out and schedule a chat!

  • We have an intuitive sense and understanding that spending time in nature can benefit our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

Research is starting to also confirm that we can amplify those benefits by combining contemplative mindfulness and nature connection.

Here’s a LINK to a SMALL selection (of a much broader scope) of research studies in this growing area of data.
